During the opening ceremony, the visitors had the opportunity to visit the new plant also from inside. Directly after the fire, Unimicron Germany started the planning phase for one of the most modern and sophisticated inner layer plants in Europe. Unimicron has invested around 45 million EUR in the new production facility, thereof 36 million EUR used for state-of-the-art machinery and equipment. As soon as the production ramp-up starts from May on, more complex printed circuit boards can be produced with the highest quality, while capacity will be increased by approx. 30%. Last but not least, the operation will become more environment-friendly. In the future, 90% of the chemicals used will be processed and reused in the factory. In the old factory, it was only 75% of the chemicals.
